As a professional marketer, you know that creating relationships is one of the fastest ways to create longevity in your business. No matter where the person comes from… generated lead, someone emailing for help, you prospecting or a Super Awesome Email like the one below.
What NOT to say: Hey “Like Minded Individual” I hope that you are doing awesome. Hope you don’t mind the friendship. Figured since we have some friends in common, it would be cool to “Connect”
It’s simple to get frustrated when we receive messages like this and it’s even more difficult not to call that person out publicly. Question is, by doing this, who does it really serve?
In the Video Below, I give a fun example of how not to handle this message. Confession time – I’ve done this in the past.
It’s literally that simple.
Once you have a conversation with that person, ask them if they received value from the call. When they say yes, have them go to your Facebook Page and leave a short message on how YOU were able to help them. These short testimonials are outstanding social proof of what sort of Professional You Are.
